The Clerk's Office is still Open, but...

​The Kane County Clerk's offices in Geneva and Aurora are open BY APPOINTMENT ONLY so people can get the vital records they may need urgently.  We can still issue marriage licenses, birth, death and marriage certificates, take tax redemption payments, and accept passport applications at both offices at assigned appointment times.  We do ask that if you can wait and utilize our online or mail in services to please do so.

Court Wedding/Civil Union Ceremony Announcement

Couples are encouraged to call 630-232-5950 to get answers to any questions you may have about trying to get married in Kane County.  The Chief Judge has postponed the reopening of the courts for marriages / civil unions indefinately.  So there will be NO COURTHOUSE MARRIAGE OPTION UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

​Upcoming Holiday Hours

 

The Kane County Clerk's office, 719 S. Batavia Ave., Bldg. B, Geneva, IL and the Aurora office, 5 E. Downer Place, Ste. F, Aurora, IL  will be closed on Thursday Nov. 26 and Friday Nov. 27th, 2020 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.  There will not be any evening hours on Wednesday Nov. 25th.   Regular business hours will resume on Monday Nov. 30, 2020 at 8:30 a.m.
