Court Wedding/Civil Union Ceremony Announcement
Chief Judge Hull has ordered as a precautionary measure in response to the Coronavirus that no marriages or civil unions will be performed in the Kane County Court system at all until April 20, 2020. This is effective beginning Tuesday March 17th, 2020. Couples with licenses that will expire before April 20th are encouraged to call 630-232-5950.
Couples who have judicial marriage / civil union packets and would like to continue to have a ceremony performed by a private officiant will need to come back into the office to get a marriage /civil union license printed to use the day of the ceremony.
The Kane County Clerk's office will waive the fees for those couples who need to reapply after the court resumes providing marriage / civil union services. Be sure to call 630-232-5950 for details.
The Kane County Clerk's office is still OPEN to issue marriage / civil union licenses which are then valid for 60 days after issuance.
